Kindness is contagious
I was at the clinic pharmacy today, there were about 10 people ahead of me. Ringo started wailing, Paul was a little terror running around everywhere and refusing to sit down, and George was just being grumpy. A lady walked over to me and asked if I would like to trade numbers. Her number was only 1 before mine, but I gladly accepted. The next number that was called to the front, a woman stood up, but instead of walking up to the counter, she walked over to me and handed me her number. Either they were really nice, or they were just tired of hearing 3 screaming kids :P

Melatonin :(
Bash away, but I had to do it, I was/am at my wits end. After everything I've read about Melatonin I decided to give it a try. My kids are little terrors during the day from lack of sleep. I would put them to bed at 8pm and at 10-11pm they would still be wide awake and bouncing off the walls. Not good when the poor things have to be up at 6am to get ready to go to school. The speed in which that stuff worked actually scared me. I was told to give it to them half an hour before bedtime, so at 7:30pm I gave them each one (except my two youngest, they have no problems sleeping). I dimmed the lights, sat them on the couch and put in a cartoon with the volume low in hopes of calming them down before bedtime. 15 minutes later they were dead asleep right there on the couch :O If I knew it was going to work that fast, I would have put them right in bed. I can see why some parents like it so much and convince themselves that it's a supplement and not a "drug" but it still doesn't make me comfortable about it. From now on it will be an every once in a while thing, definitely not every night, or even every week. Unless it's absolutely needed, it will stay in the medicine cabinet. Natural or not, it's scary stuff.........

Holy Snickers!
So I got John off to kindy a little late this morning. Bad Mommy :( It was pouring rain this morning and we were drenched by the time we made it up to the school office. One of the secretaries offered to take him to class so we wouldn't have to walk all the way across campus. I guess she felt sorry for me because I was carrying Ringo, I had George in a stroller, and Paul was running circles around me. Paul started throwing a tantrum because he wanted to go to class with John, he even started chasing after them. Another secretary, I don't know his name, he offered Paul a Snickers if he promised to behave and listen to his mommy. Now here I was thinking he would give him a little bite size Snickers, after all it's getting close to Halloween and everyone is buying candy for trick-or-treaters. The man walks into another room and hands Paul a SIX-PACK of FULL SIZE Snickers :O He gave it to him on the condition that he share them with his family, lol. Remind me to give that man a nice present for Christmas ;)
